On March 9, 2018, the fourth plenary session of the First Edge Computing Consortium (ECC) Boarding convened in Beijing, at which all members of the ECC Council were in attendance. They were: Yu Haibin, Director of Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Yu Xiaohui, Chief Engineer of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT); Liu Shaowei, President of Huawei Network R&D Dept; Chen Wei, General Manager of the IoT Service Dept of Intel Corporation in the China region; Fang Fahe, Executive Vice President of iSoftStone; Shao Wei, Director of China Server & Ecosystem Dept of ARM; Chen Enyi, Director of R&D and Innovation Dept of Honeywell (China); Wang Hongyu, Vice President of Shenyang SIASUN Robot & Automation Co., Ltd.; Guo Wenzhe, General Manager of the Shanghai Research Dept of National Instruments (NI); the Secretary-General of the ECC, and the chairs of all work groups.

The Session focused on the work plan and key tasks of the ECC in 2018, and clarified the key tasks and objectives of the ECC in industry cooperation, testbeds, demonstration and promotion, key technologies, reference architecture, standards formulation, regional layout, and industry marketing in 2018.
